Together in Faith
St. Joe's
Exodus (1884-1984)

For more than 125 years, people have been gathering on the corner of Jefferson and Wyatt in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to hear the Good News, to pray, to marry and to bury, to baptize and to confirm new generations into Christ, to sing and to weep, to have their burdens lifted in forgiveness, to have their joy multiplied before God and neighbor.

Here at our table, thousands have met Christ over the years, in war, in peace, in depression, in bust, on a high, in a black sorrow, and they have been moved and empowered by the Lord to carry on.

Indeed, this little corner of the world is a very highly graced spot. No war ever came here. No famine or deadly plague ever scarred this place or its people. There has always been enough of everything here. For all that has been here, we have much to be thankful for.

This Exodus section details the first 100 years of our parish. Click on the links below to learn more about the various periods of the history of St. Joseph Parish.
